ACR Bot Refund Policy

The Winning Poker Network Responds to Bots with Over $200,000 in Player Refunds and First Verifiable Refund Policy. In an effort to remove bots and do what’s right, the Winning Poker Network (WPN) today announced a Verifiable Refund Policy and revealed that they have banned two players from the site for using bots at the poker tables. The US facing poker network has also refunded over $200,000 to players affected by these bots.

“I want to get all the cards on the table about bots at the Winning Poker Network and what we’re doing now,” stated WPN CEO Phil Nagy. This is the start of the Winning Poker Network enforcing transparent, verifiable policies. Stay tuned, because this is the first policy among many.”

Over the weekend, WPN banned two players, FoxRox and Gluckauf, for violating flagship site Americas Cardroom’s terms of service and employing bots at the tables. Upon banning the accounts, WPN paid players back $175,729 to those affected by FoxRox and another $25,134 to those affected by Gluckauf.

WPN isn’t the first poker network to deal with bots, but they’re the only ones to be open and transparent about how players receive their refunds and who gets paid.

Players can visit here to see exactly who has been refunded and how much. The Banned Accounts page will be updated on a weekly basis, so players are always in the know.

After paying players back and discovering an additional eight bots, WPN announced there would be more refunds issued on April 26th. Moving forward, WPN will reimburse bot victims a maximum of $25,000 per bot. How the funds are distributed is a discussion that WPN wants to have with its player community.

WPN CEO Phil Nagy will be on Twitch, along with the ACR Stormers, daily from April 18th to 25th. There will be an open-ended discussion on how players are refunded in a way that’s fair and sustainable. For Twitch times CLICK HERE
