Americas CardRoom Earns Guinness World Record title with $5 Million Venom Payment. A lot of online poker networks throw the word record-breaking around. The U.S.A. online poker room  just earned the Guinness World Record title for the largest cryptocurrency winning jackpot in an online poker tournament!

“We’re excited for “TheBigKid“ our $1,050,559.50 first-place winner in our $5 Million Venom,” stated Winning Poker Network (WPN) spokesperson Michael Harris. “Earning the Guinness World Record title means it wasn’t just an online poker tournament, it was history in the making.”

To secure the record, WPN sent the winner the prize via Bitcoin shortly after the final hand was played — all in one shot. It happened on July 24th, 2019 in San Jose, Costa Rica.

The Venom featured a $5 Million guaranteed prize pool, and at least $1 Million for first place. It was the biggest tourney in Americas Cardroom history and the biggest-ever by a US facing online poker network with a $6,382,500 final prize pool. The tourney began on July 14th, spanned several days, and featured three Day 1’s options.
